Delivery Manager/Scrum Master

About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Delivery / Scrum Master to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 4 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds.

We are looking for a hands-on Delivery Manager to support a technical delivery team, providing structure and oversight across day-to-day activity. You will help maintain delivery momentum, coordinate priorities and ensure risks, dependencies and outstanding actions are actively managed.

The role will suit someone comfortable working within an Agile environment who can bring teams together, maintain clear delivery processes and provide stakeholders with visibility of progress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team's delivery activity, ensuring planned work continues to move forward against agreed sprint objectives.
• Facilitate daily team sessions to review progress, understand priorities and identify areas requiring intervention.
• Maintain accurate delivery information within Jira, ensuring work items, sprint activity and priorities reflect the current position.
• Proactively identify obstacles and cross-team dependencies, driving these towards resolution and raising concerns where delivery may be impacted.
• Provide the team with clear direction around immediate priorities, upcoming commitments and expected outcomes.
• Work with team members to ensure requirements, user stories and tasks have sufficient detail and clarity before entering delivery.
• Maintain appropriate records within Confluence, capturing relevant decisions, actions and supporting delivery information.
• Oversee operational activity recorded through ServiceNow, including incidents, requests and change activity, ensuring outstanding items receive appropriate follow-up.
• Communicate delivery status to key stakeholders, highlighting progress alongside emerging risks, challenges and potential slippage.
• Maintain oversight of incomplete actions and work carried forward between sprints, ensuring ownership is clear and items are progressed through to closure.

About You

• Previous experience working in a Delivery Manager, Agile Delivery or similar role within a technology environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile ways of working and sprint-based delivery.
• Confident facilitating team ceremonies and coordinating activity across multidisciplinary teams.
• Practical experience using Jira and Confluence within a delivery environment.
• Experience working with ServiceNow to monitor operational or service management activity.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise delivery updates.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities, risks, dependencies and blockers in a fast-moving environment.
