About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Delivery Team Leader to oversee their delivery operations in Wolverhampton . This leadership role involves managing a team of delivery drivers, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer service. You will play a key role in motivating the team, optimizing routes, and resolving any on-road challenges, contributing significantly to the success of the company’s Driving & Transport services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of logistics management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance and support.
• Plan and assign delivery routes to optimize efficiency and timeliness.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve delivery-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, targets, and operational updates.
• Liaise with the logistics department to ensure smooth coordination of deliveries.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within logistics or delivery.
• A solid understanding of delivery operations and route planning.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making capacity.
• Familiarity with the Wolverhampton area and transportation networks.
• Valid driving license, preferably with HGV experience (though not essential for the role itself).
