About the Role

Our client is looking for a dependable Delivery Van Driver to join their expanding logistics operation in Derby . This role involves the timely and safe transportation of goods to various commercial and retail customers throughout the region. You will be responsible for efficient route planning, careful handling of goods, and ensuring a high level of customer service during each delivery. The ideal candidate is punctual, organized, and possesses excellent driving skills, contributing to the smooth operation of deliveries in Derbyshire and maintaining our client's reputation for reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery van to transport goods to customers, ensuring timely arrival and delivery.
• Plan daily routes efficiently to maximize delivery volume and minimize travel time.
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring they are correctly handled and secured.
• Conduct routine checks on the van, including tire pressure, oil, and lights, reporting any issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, collecting proof of delivery as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Full UK driving license (Category B) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver.
• Good geographical knowledge of Derby and the surrounding Derbyshire area.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading tasks.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
