This role involves collecting and delivering goods to various sites, ensuring a high standard of service and adherence to delivery schedules. You will be a key part of the logistics chain, responsible for the safe handling and timely transit of items. The role offers a degree of flexibility, allowing for some route planning and decision-making on the go, within the framework of operational requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a company delivery van safely and efficiently.
• Plan daily routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections in the Southampton area and beyond.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are handled with care.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence (Category B).
• Previous experience driving vans for delivery purposes.
• Good knowledge of the Southampton and Hampshire road network.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Willingness to assist with warehouse duties when required.
