About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Design Architect to join their prestigious studio in Cambridge . This role focuses on developing innovative and aesthetically compelling architectural designs for a range of high-profile projects. You will be instrumental in leading the design process from concept through to detailed design, working collaboratively with clients, consultants, and the wider project team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong design portfolio, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional architectural quality, contributing to the studio's reputation for design excellence in one of the UK's most historic and intellectually vibrant cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualisation and development of innovative architectural designs.
- Produce high-quality design proposals, including drawings, models, and visualisations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and present design solutions.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, M&E consultants, and other specialists.
- Ensure designs are compliant with planning policies and building regulations.
- Mentor junior architectural staff and contribute to design reviews.
Requirements
- Part II qualification from a recognised school of architecture, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in architectural design, with a strong and diverse portfolio.
- Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A strong understanding of architectural theory, aesthetics, and contemporary design practice.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UK planning and building regulations is essential.
