Design Technology Teacher

Applebough Education are currently recruiting for a Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Nuneaton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Design Technology and enjoys inspiring students to design, create and develop practical skills. You’ll be joining a school where students are encouraged to think creatively, develop their confidence and turn ideas into reality.

The role

• Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical and challenging lessons

• Inspire students to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills

• Support students with both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject

• Monitor and assess student progress

• Maintain a positive and well-managed workshop and classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Design Technology department

We’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the subject

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• The ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities

• A positive, creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
