Desktop Engineer & Support

Desktop Engineer & Support Global Asset Manager London

I'm recruiting for a global asset manager on a permanent Desktop Engineer role in London.
This is a small, hands-on team that runs the whole stack. No tiers or hand-off queues, everyone takes first-line tickets and owns real infrastructure. You'd be one of two desktop/junior infrastructure engineers globally and the main technical owner of the endpoint estate in your region.

The stack: Azure, Okta, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Cato SASE, Meraki, CrowdStrike, Rubrik, M365

What you'll do:

• 1st and 2nd line support for users across Europe, the US and APAC, including PMs, traders and senior execs
• Own Intune, AppLocker, patching and AVD in your region
• Take on Azure, Okta, Cato, Meraki and Rubrik work alongside senior engineers
• Triage CrowdStrike detections and run joiner/mover/leaver processes end to end
• Automate with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
• Some travel to regional offices for rack builds, cabling and AV

What you'll bring:

• 3-5 years in IT support, desktop engineering or sysadmin
• Hands-on Intune, M365 and Windows 11 in a managed corporate environment
• Azure fundamentals and solid networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN)
• Several of: Okta, AVD, CrowdStrike, Cato, Meraki, Rubrik, AppLocker
• PowerShell you can write and troubleshoot, not just run
• Financial services or buy-side experience strongly preferred
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Details:

• Permanent position
• £50,000 - £75,000
• 10-15% bonus
• Onsite - London

If you're a first-line or desktop engineer who has already been picking up infrastructure work, this is a strong step up. Exposure across the full stack within your first year, direct access to senior leadership, and a high-trust team where your work is visible.
