About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their innovative technology team, supporting their operations in Belfast . This role is crucial in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our deployment pipelines, infrastructure management, and system reliability. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure efficient, scalable, and secure software delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues swiftly.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role focusing on automation and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
