About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their technology team in Belfast . Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application builds, testing, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Develop, manage, and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of production environments.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Proficiency in managing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment in Belfast .
