About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their innovative technology team in Leeds . This role is crucial in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for building and maintaining efficient, scalable, and reliable infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of our applications. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with development teams while enjoying the flexibility of some remote work, fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of software.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Systems Administration role.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
