About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their technology team, working remotely from Belfast . This role is crucial for streamlining and automating our client's software development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling our infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of our systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to make a significant impact in a remote-first, collaborative environment, fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation .
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) to ensure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and rapid issue resolution.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure role.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure , or GCP .
- Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes .
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash , Python , PowerShell ) for automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
