Director of Operational Excellence

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Operational Excellence to lead their continuous improvement efforts in Nottingham . This senior role is responsible for establishing and driving a culture of excellence throughout all operational functions, implementing best practices, and ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. You will play a crucial part in transforming processes, empowering teams, and achieving significant improvements in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies, committed to fostering a proactive and high-performing operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy across the organization.
• Lead and champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive implementation of best practices.
• Train and mentor teams on operational excellence methodologies and tools.
• Measure and report on the impact of operational improvements on business performance.
• Collaborate with senior management to embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a Director of Operational Excellence or senior continuous improvement role.
• Proven track record in successfully implementing Lean and Six Sigma programs.
• Strong leadership, change management, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in process mapping, data analysis, and performance measurement.
• Master Black Belt certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
