About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Tennis Operations to manage and elevate their premier tennis facilities and programs in Oxford . This senior role is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of all tennis-related activities, including coaching academies, recreational play, event management, and facility maintenance. You will lead a team of tennis professionals, foster a vibrant club culture, and drive growth in membership and program participation. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the tennis operations, encompassing all coaching, development, and recreational programs.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of tennis facilities, ensuring high standards of court maintenance, equipment, and player amenities.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tennis coaches, court staff, and administrative personnel.
• Drive membership growth, retention, and program participation through innovative strategies and exceptional service.
• Organize and manage a calendar of tournaments, leagues, social events, and special tennis-related activities.
• Manage the tennis department budget, ensuring financial targets are met and services are delivered efficiently.
• Maintain strong relationships with players, members, coaches, and external partners.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in tennis management, coaching leadership, or club operations, preferably at a high-level facility.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans for tennis programs and operations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
• Strong understanding of tennis coaching methodologies, player development pathways, and modern training techniques.
• Excellent financial acumen, including budget management and forecasting abilities.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Relevant certifications from recognized tennis organizations (e.g., LTA, USTA) are highly desirable.
