Director Quantity Surveyor

We’re working with an ambitious, independent construction consultancy in Preston that is looking to appoint a Director-level Quantity Surveyor as part of its continued growth.

The business provides commercially focused cost consultancy and project advice across a varied portfolio, with a strong emphasis on client relationships, quality of service and long-term partnerships.

This is an opportunity to join the business at a senior level and play a genuine role in shaping its future.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll combine technical delivery with business development, client management and team leadership.

You’ll have the autonomy to develop existing relationships, identify new opportunities and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Quantity Surveying and cost management services across a varied project portfolio.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to work-winning activity.

• Lead, mentor and develop the Quantity Surveying team.

• Oversee technical quality and commercial performance.

• Support strategic planning and the continued growth of the consultancy.

• Represent the business externally and help develop its market presence.

About You

• MRICS qualified with significant post-chartership experience.

• Strong consultancy background with proven Quantity Surveying experience.

• Experienced in managing client relationships and winning work.

• Previous experience leading and developing teams.

• Commercially astute with strong technical and communication skills.

• Confident, proactive and entrepreneurial in your approach.

• Ambitious and keen to play a wider role in the growth of a business.
