Distribution Centre Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to join their team in Oxford , working a hybrid schedule. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific section within the distribution center, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, manage workflow, and contribute to the overall success of the distribution center's operations, playing a key role in maintaining smooth and productive operations during your shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff within your assigned area.
• Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance and feedback to operatives.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing all health and safety policies.
• Manage inventory within your area, conduct stock checks, and report discrepancies.
• Assist in training new team members and promoting a positive team culture.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
