Distribution Centre Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivational Distribution Centre Supervisor to lead a team within their state-of-the-art facility in Bristol . You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of warehouse processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing staff, optimizing workflows, and contributing to the overall success of the distribution centre, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor team performance and productivity, implementing measures to meet targets.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Address operational issues promptly and escalate when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and best practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work shifts and flexible hours as required by the business needs.
