About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Drilling Engineer to join their operations team in Leeds . This role is essential for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling operations. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing drilling programs, ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental regulations. The position requires a blend of office-based planning and potential site supervision, offering a challenging and rewarding career in the Oil & Gas industry . Collaboration with various teams, including subsurface and completions, will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design well trajectories, casing programs, and drilling fluid systems.
• Develop detailed drilling programs and associated cost estimates.
• Supervise drilling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and data integrity.
• Manage drilling-related risks, including well control and formation evaluation.
• Procure necessary equipment and services for drilling campaigns.
• Analyze drilling performance data and implement improvements for future wells.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in drilling engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Strong understanding of drilling technology, well control principles, and directional drilling.
• Experience with drilling software and planning tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
