About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Drilling Operations Manager to oversee all drilling activities for their onshore projects in the Coventry, West Midlands region. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive drilling plans and programs in line with company objectives.
• Supervise and manage all drilling crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Oversee the maintenance and deployment of drilling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Manage drilling budgets, resource allocation, and contractor relationships effectively.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Monitor drilling progress, troubleshoot operational issues, and make informed decisions to maintain efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of various drilling techniques, technologies, and equipment.
• Proven experience in managing HSE standards and fostering a strong safety culture.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
