Drug Safety Physician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced Drug Safety Physician to join their pharmacovigilance department, based in Nottingham . You will play a vital role in assessing the safety profile of pharmaceutical products throughout their lifecycle, making critical decisions to protect public health. This leadership position involves reviewing adverse event data, contributing to safety strategy, and interacting with regulatory bodies. The role operates on a hybrid basis , offering a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, ensuring both operational needs and work-life balance are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical review of adverse event reports and assess causality.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management plans (RMPs).
• Provide medical expertise for signal detection and evaluation activities.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on safety-related matters.
• Support the training of internal staff on drug safety principles and procedures.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of residency training and board certification in a relevant specialty.
• Significant experience (e.g., 5+ years) in drug safety/pharmacovigilance.
• In-depth knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.
• Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills.
