E-commerce Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an analytical and insightful E-commerce Analyst to join their team in Plymouth . This role is critical for understanding customer behavior, optimizing the online shopping experience, and driving e-commerce performance through data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and reporting on key metrics related to website traffic, sales, customer engagement, and marketing campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background and a passion for uncovering insights that lead to tangible business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to website traffic, user behavior, and sales performance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce operations and marketing campaigns.
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in conversion rates, customer acquisition, and retention.
• Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize website design, user journeys, and promotional activities.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform strategic planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Analyst , Data Analyst, or similar quantitative role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent understanding of statistical analysis, A/B testing methodologies, and web analytics.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a hybrid office environment in Plymouth .
