About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented E-commerce Content Manager to enhance their online product presentation and marketing narratives from their Stoke-on-Trent base. This role is crucial for ensuring all product descriptions, website copy, blog posts, and social media content are compelling, accurate, and optimized for search engines and customer engagement. You will collaborate with various departments, including marketing, sales, and product development, to craft content that drives traffic, boosts conversions, and reinforces brand identity across all digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a content calendar for the e-commerce website, blog, and social media platforms.
- Write, edit, and proofread high-quality, SEO-friendly product descriptions, website copy, and marketing materials.
- Create engaging blog posts, articles, and social media updates that resonate with the target audience and drive traffic.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with designers and photographers to source or create compelling visual content to accompany written copy.
- Analyze content performance metrics and use insights to refine content strategy and improve SEO rankings.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) in content management, copywriting, or digital marketing with a focus on e-commerce.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English grammar and style.
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices and keyword research.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
