About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented E-commerce Manager to lead their online sales efforts within the vibrant FMCG sector. This fully remote position is ideal for a seasoned e-commerce professional looking to drive growth, optimize online customer journeys, and expand market reach from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for developing and executing the e-commerce strategy, managing online marketplaces, and ensuring a seamless online shopping experience for consumers. Working in close collaboration with marketing, operations, and IT teams, you will play a crucial role in maximizing online revenue and enhancing the digital brand presence. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to shape the future of online sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to drive sales, profitability, and customer acquisition across various online channels for FMCG products .
- Manage and optimize online product listings, content, and user experience on the company website and third-party marketplaces.
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, social media, email) to drive traffic, conversions, and customer loyalty.
- Analyze e-commerce performance metrics, identifying trends and insights to inform strategy and optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Oversee inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer service processes to ensure a high-quality online shopping experience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify new growth opportunities and emerging trends in the FMCG e-commerce space.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce management, with a proven track record of success in the FMCG sector or a related fast-paced industry.
- In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, PPC, social media), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong understanding of online merchandising, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and customer journey mapping.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, suitable for managing a remote team and collaborating across departments for initiatives impacting the Wolverhampton region and beyond.
