About the Role
Our client is seeking a visually oriented and data-driven E-commerce Merchandiser to join their growing online retail team in Liverpool . This role is pivotal in optimizing the presentation of products on our client's website to maximize sales and customer engagement. You will be responsible for curating product selections, managing categorization, and implementing strategies to highlight key items and promotions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, a keen eye for product presentation, and the analytical skills to interpret sales data and customer behaviour. This position offers a dynamic mix of creativity and analysis, contributing directly to the success of our online store.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute effective product merchandising strategies across the e-commerce website to drive sales and improve user experience.
- Manage product catalog data, including descriptions, images, pricing, and categorization, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze sales data, website traffic, and customer behaviour to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing product placement and promotions.
- Develop and implement strategies for seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and promotional events on the website.
- Work closely with the marketing and buying teams to ensure merchandising efforts align with brand objectives and inventory levels.
- Conduct regular website audits to ensure products are displayed attractively and that navigation is intuitive and user-friendly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in e-commerce merchandising , online retail, or a related digital marketing role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and merchandising best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actionable merchandising plans.
- Proficiency in using web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and e-commerce management systems.
- A keen eye for visual presentation and user experience design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
