About the Role

Our client is looking for a visually adept and analytical E-commerce Merchandiser to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is key to optimizing the online shopping experience, ensuring products are presented attractively and logically to drive sales. You will be responsible for product categorization, online visual merchandising, and ensuring a seamless browsing experience for customers across all digital touchpoints. The hybrid nature of this role allows for productive remote work alongside essential team collaboration in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate and organize product assortments on the e-commerce website, ensuring accurate categorization and logical navigation.
• Optimize product pages with compelling descriptions, high-quality images, and relevant cross-sell/upsell opportunities.
• Plan and execute online visual merchandising strategies to highlight key products, promotions, and new arrivals.
• Analyze sales data, customer behaviour, and website performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improving conversion rates.
• Collaborate with marketing and buying teams to align merchandising efforts with promotional calendars and inventory levels.
• Monitor competitor websites for merchandising best practices and emerging trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience in e-commerce merchandising, online retail, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and their application online.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and product information management (PIM) systems.
• Proficiency in analyzing website data using tools like Google Analytics.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
