E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day running of their online retail business from their Oxford headquarters. This critical role involves managing inventory, order fulfillment, logistics, and customer service to ensure a seamless and efficient customer experience. You will be responsible for streamlining processes, reducing costs, and driving operational excellence to support the company's growth ambitions within the competitive e-commerce landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the e-commerce order fulfillment process, from order placement to final delivery.
• Manage inventory levels, stock control, and relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Implement and improve operational workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and speed of service.
• Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and shipping carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
• Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Monitor key operational metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards for e-commerce operations in Oxford .

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations or a related logistics and supply chain management role.
• Proven experience in managing inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Experience in working with 3PL providers and negotiating with carriers.
