E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their online sales operations in Manchester . This critical role involves managing the day-to-day aspects of the e-commerce business, ensuring seamless order fulfillment, inventory management, and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall customer journey from purchase to delivery. This is an on-site position, offering direct engagement with the operational teams and physical infrastructure essential to our e-commerce success. We are looking for a proactive leader with a strong background in logistics and e-commerce operations, capable of driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the e-commerce order lifecycle, including order processing, fulfillment, and shipping logistics.
• Manage inventory levels, stock accuracy, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor and improve customer service standards, resolving escalated issues promptly and professionally.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for process improvement.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and shipping carriers.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in e-commerce operations or supply chain management.
• Demonstrated experience in order fulfillment , inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and order management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex operational challenges.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
