E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their online business operations from their Portsmouth location. This critical role focuses on ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all e-commerce activities, from website management to order fulfillment and customer service, within the e-commerce and social media sector. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, improving customer satisfaction, and implementing strategies to scale the business effectively. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented leader with a proven track record in e-commerce management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day e-commerce operations, including website maintenance, product updates, and inventory management.
• Oversee the order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate shipping and handling of customer orders.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the customer experience, including customer service protocols and returns management.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with operational capabilities and inventory levels.
• Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., order accuracy, shipping times, return rates) and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an e-commerce operations management role or similar.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, order management systems (OMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in process improvement and implementing operational efficiencies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
