About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of their online store in Manchester . This role is critical for ensuring a seamless, high-performance user experience that drives sales and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the technical aspects of the e-commerce platform, working closely with development teams, marketing, and operations to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and enhance site functionality. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce technologies and a passion for creating intuitive, conversion-focused online shopping experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- Oversee platform upgrades, integrations with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, PIM), and new feature rollouts.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to optimize website navigation, product display, and checkout processes.
- Ensure platform stability, security, and performance, implementing measures to minimize downtime and optimize loading speeds.
- Conduct A/B testing and user experience research to identify opportunities for conversion rate optimization.
- Work with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and merchandising strategies on the platform.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing e-commerce platforms .
- Strong technical understanding of e-commerce architecture, APIs, and web technologies.
- Experience with major e-commerce platforms and content management systems.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with UX principles and conversion rate optimization techniques.
