Early Years Consultant (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Early Years Consultant to provide expert advice and support to childcare providers in the Southampton area. This role is based on-site, requiring regular visits to nurseries and preschools to assess quality, implement improvement strategies, and deliver bespoke training. You will be a key advisor, helping settings enhance their educational programs, meet regulatory requirements, and foster positive environments for children's development. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of childcare settings, identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement tailored action plans to enhance educational quality and operational efficiency.
• Provide on-site training and mentoring to nursery staff on pedagogy, curriculum, and best practices.
• Advise on compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted requirements.
• Support settings in developing robust safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with nursery managers, staff, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• A strong background in Early Years Education , with a deep understanding of child development.
• Proven experience in a consultancy or advisory role within the early years sector.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted inspection criteria.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio effectively.
