About the Role

Our client is searching for a nurturing and experienced Early Years Educator to join their well-regarded nursery in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and fun learning environment for young children, supporting their development across all early learning and childcare frameworks. This role is vital in providing exceptional care and education to children aged 0-5, ensuring they have the best possible start in life. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the holistic development of young children.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, identifying individual needs and providing tailored support.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents, and families.
• Maintain a stimulating and organized learning environment, ensuring all resources are accessible and safe.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality childcare service.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Years Education, such as SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
• A strong understanding of child development principles and the Scottish curriculum for excellence in the early years.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to child-centered learning.
