Early Years Educator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and caring Early Years Educator to join their dedicated team in Derby . You will play a vital role in providing a high-quality, stimulating, and safe learning environment for young children, supporting their development and well-being. This position involves working collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging activities based on the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) . We are looking for an enthusiastic individual passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives in the Derby area, contributing to a nurturing and fun atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a range of stimulating and engaging play-based activities for children, ensuring they meet the learning and development requirements of the EYFS .
• Observe and record children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the management team.
• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children within the nursery, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• Assist with children's personal care needs, promoting independence and hygiene.
• Maintain excellent communication with parents and carers, fostering positive home-school links.

Requirements

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in an early years setting is desirable.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic, and caring approach to working with young children.
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to nursery life.
