Early Years Educator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and qualified Early Years Educator to join a vibrant nursery team in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a crucial role in fostering a stimulating and secure learning environment for young children, promoting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This position is ideal for an individual committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, working collaboratively with colleagues to create engaging experiences that inspire curiosity and a love for learning. You will be instrumental in shaping the early educational journeys of children in our care, contributing to a positive and enriching nursery culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative lesson plans and activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Create a welcoming, stimulating, and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, fostering strong home-school links.
• Contribute to the overall operation of the nursery, participating in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Years education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
• Thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and observational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and development.
