About the Role

A welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes is looking for a passionate Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to lead their reception class. This is a pivotal role in providing a nurturing and stimulating start to education for young children. You will be instrumental in creating a safe and inspiring learning environment where children can explore, develop, and thrive through play-based learning. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a dedicated early years team to ensure the highest standards of care and education, aligned with national EYFS guidelines and the school's ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum that meets statutory requirements.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and developmental milestones.
• Create a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Promote the welfare and safeguarding of all children within the EYFS setting.

Requirements

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., EYT, PGCE, B.Ed).
• Significant experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage .
• Thorough understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Excellent observational and assessment skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to safeguarding.
