About the Role

Our client is looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join a welcoming nursery and primary school in Edinburgh . This role focuses on creating a stimulating and play-based learning environment for young children, supporting their holistic development. You will play a crucial role in implementing the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop essential skills for their future education. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences for children within the EYFS framework .
• Create a stimulating, safe, and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
• Observe and track children's progress, maintaining accurate records and providing constructive feedback to parents/guardians.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective home-school communication.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of all children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement creative learning initiatives.

Requirements

• Recognised early years qualification (e.g., NNEB, Cache Level 3, BA in Early Childhood Studies).
• Experience working within an EYFS setting, preferably in a primary school or nursery.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum, child development, and relevant pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to child-centred learning.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and first aid certification is desirable.
