About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to join their outstanding nursery in Brighton . This role involves leading a key room, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the development and delivery of an exceptional early years education program. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and learning, fostering a stimulating and inclusive environment, and working collaboratively with parents and colleagues to support children's developmental journey, embodying a commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a designated room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and care in line with the EYFS framework .
- Develop and implement engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences for children.
- Mentor and support junior practitioners and assistants, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, maintaining detailed records and development plans.
- Build and maintain strong, positive partnerships with parents and families, encouraging their involvement in their child's learning.
- Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety policies and procedures are consistently followed and maintained to the highest standard.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Proven experience in a lead practitioner or similar senior role within an early years setting.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively plan and deliver educational activities and assess children's development.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
