Early Years Lead Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to take a leading role in their nursery located in Belfast . This position requires a dedicated individual to guide a team, develop innovative learning experiences, and ensure the highest standards of care are met in line with the EYFS framework . You will be instrumental in shaping the learning environment, mentoring junior staff, and fostering strong partnerships with parents to support the holistic development of every child. Key Responsibilities

• Lead a designated room or age group, providing high-quality early years education and care in accordance with the EYFS curriculum .
• Mentor and guide junior practitioners, offering support and sharing best practices to enhance team performance.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's learning and development, creating individual learning plans.
• Ensure all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety, are rigorously implemented and maintained.
• Liaise effectively with parents and carers, providing regular feedback and fostering collaborative relationships to support children's progress.

Requirements

• A relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent.
• Significant experience working as an Early Years Practitioner, with demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework , child development theories, and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to professional development and a passion for ensuring positive outcomes for young children.
