Early Years Lead Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to join their established nursery in Nottingham . This senior role involves leading a small team, overseeing daily operations for a specific age group, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding childcare and education in line with the EYFS framework . You will be responsible for creating a stimulating and secure learning environment, fostering children's development, and acting as a key point of contact for parents within the Nottinghamshire community. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on more responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of early years practitioners, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate a creative and stimulating curriculum for a designated age group.
• Conduct detailed observations and assessments of children's progress, creating tailored learning plans.
• Ensure the highest standards of child safety , welfare, and safeguarding are met.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Contribute to the overall management and development of the nursery.

Requirements

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is essential.
• Significant experience working in an early years setting, with proven experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework , child protection policies, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A strong understanding of child development and inclusive practices.
