About the Role

Our client, a highly regarded early years centre in Brighton , is seeking an experienced and inspiring Early Years Lead Teacher to guide their educational program. This role involves leading a team of educators, developing innovative learning experiences, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are met. You will play a key role in curriculum design, staff mentorship, and parent engagement, with opportunities to contribute to strategic planning, potentially involving some remote collaboration. This is a leadership position for a passionate educator committed to fostering a love of learning in young children in the East Sussex area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of early years educators, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
• Develop and implement a creative, engaging, and high-quality curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Oversee daily operations of the early years setting, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
• Conduct observations, assessments, and evaluations of children's progress, providing feedback to parents.
• Manage staff development, training, and performance reviews.
• Engage with parents and families, building strong relationships and facilitating effective communication, potentially through remote channels for updates and planning meetings.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized early years qualification.
• Significant experience in early years education, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development theories.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team of educators.
