Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their vibrant childcare team in Leeds . You will be instrumental in providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for young children, focusing on their holistic development. This role involves actively engaging with children, planning and delivering a range of creative activities, and working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure the highest standards of care. You will contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore and learn, playing a key part in their foundational educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality early years education and care, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that foster children's learning and development across all domains.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating learning environment, adhering to all safeguarding policies.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and families.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the childcare team to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field.
• Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or similar setting.
• Good understanding of child development and effective early years pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and staff.
• Awareness of safeguarding procedures and commitment to child protection.
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team, contributing to a positive workplace culture in Leeds .
