About the Role
Our client is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their dedicated team at a reputable nursery in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a crucial role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children, supporting their learning and development through play-based activities. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and committed to providing high-quality care. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child in your care, contributing to a positive and enriching nursery experience in the heart of Tyne and Wear .
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and hygiene of all children under your care, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with the nursery team to maintain a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment.
Requirements
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or similar setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to safeguarding.
