Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their vibrant nursery in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Working as part of a cohesive team, you will support the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This role is perfect for an individual who is enthusiastic about child development and committed to providing positive early learning experiences for children aged 0-5.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents and senior staff.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Prepare and tidy play areas, ensuring resources are accessible and maintained to a high standard.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery's services and practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child protection procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the children and the nursery.
