Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their dedicated team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their learning and development through play-based activities. You will work closely with other practitioners to implement the curriculum, observe and document children's progress, and foster positive relationships with families, contributing to the overall positive experience and educational outcomes for the children in their care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Observe, assess, and record children's learning and development, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and security of all children under your supervision at all times.
• Provide a high standard of care, meeting the individual needs of each child, including hygiene and feeding.
• Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the overall positive ethos and aims of the nursery.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Care or equivalent.
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their development.
