About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their highly regarded nursery in Glasgow . You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to a group of children, fostering their learning and development through play-based activities. This role requires a nurturing individual who can create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive. You will work as part of a passionate team, contributing to the nursery’s commitment to excellence in early childhood education and ensuring every child’s unique needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in your care.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, communicating insights to parents and colleagues.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
- Create a stimulating and welcoming learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with children and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with other practitioners to deliver a consistent high standard of care.
Requirements
- A relevant childcare qualification, such as an SVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working within an early years setting.
- A strong understanding of child development and learning theories, including Curriculum for Excellence .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professional conduct.
