Early Years Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their dedicated team in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development across all areas, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. This position requires a genuine love for working with children, an understanding of early childhood development principles, and the ability to engage children in play-based learning activities. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, happy, and enriching experience for every child, contributing to a team that values creativity, empathy, and professional growth in the West Midlands .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Observe and accurately record children's progress, identifying any developmental needs or concerns.
• Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children, adhering to health and safety policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, communicating effectively about the child's progress and well-being.
• Assist with personal care needs of the children, such as feeding, changing, and hygiene.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow practitioners and management to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or similar setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with both children and adults.
• A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to childcare.
