Early Years Practitioner

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development across all EYFS areas.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional security of all children in your care, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating learning environment, including preparing snacks and assisting with hygiene routines.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, acting as a key person for assigned children.
• Collaborate effectively with other practitioners to share best practices and ensure consistent care.

Requirements

• A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery or early years setting.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to childcare.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
