Early Years Teaching Assistant Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG24) Pay: £100-£120 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm Contract: Full-time, Long-Term to Permanent Start Date: ASAP
Long Term Futures are recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant for a small independent specialist school close to Newark. The school supports children and young people aged 5-19 with autism and associated needs. You will work predominantly with the school's younger children, providing a high level of 1:1 support within a small and nurturing provision. The role will focus on developing communication, engagement, emotional regulation and early learning skills, although you should also be comfortable supporting older pupils across the school when required.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide regular 1:1 support for younger pupils with autism and additional needs Support early learning, communication, social interaction and emotional development Build consistent and trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and engaged Use personalised strategies to support emotional regulation, behaviour and individual learning needs Work with small groups and support older pupils across the provision when required Record progress and observations and provide personal care where neededWhat We're Looking For
Experience supporting Early Years, primary-aged children, Autism or SEND Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is preferred, although strong Level 2 candidates will be considered Calm, patient and nurturing, with the ability to provide consistent 1:1 support Confident supporting communication, emotional regulation and individual development Flexible enough to work with both younger and older pupils depending on the needs of the school A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the school's locationWhy Long Term Futures
