About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and compassionate Educational Psychologist to join their dedicated team serving the Plymouth area. You will play a vital role in supporting the learning, development, and emotional well-being of children and young people. This hybrid position involves a combination of on-site assessments and consultations within educational settings, alongside remote work for report writing and professional development. The successful candidate will be adept at assessing complex needs, providing evidence-based interventions, and collaborating effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and young people to identify learning, behavioural, and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement effective intervention strategies and support plans in collaboration with schools and families.
• Provide consultation and training to teachers, parents, and other professionals on matters relating to child psychology and education.
• Write clear, concise, and informative psychological reports based on assessment findings.
• Contribute to safeguarding procedures and provide advice on child protection matters within educational settings.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field.

Requirements

• A postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration with the relevant psychological governing body.
• Significant experience working as an Educational Psychologist, preferably within an educational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of child development, learning theories, and psychometric assessment tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
