Educational Psychologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to join their team on a contract basis in Bristol . This role involves providing expert psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention to support the educational and emotional well-being of students. You will work across various educational settings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, and developmental issues. This position offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site assessments with remote consultation and report writing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions and support strategies for students.
• Provide consultation and training to teachers, parents, and school staff on topics related to child development, learning, and mental health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated support plans for students.
• Write detailed psychological reports, providing clear recommendations and strategies.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of educational psychology services within the organization.

Requirements

• A postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology.
• Professional registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., HCPC in the UK).
• Proven experience in conducting psycho-educational assessments and interventions.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and psychopathology.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload effectively in a hybrid setting.
