Educational Technology Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Educational Technology Specialist to join their forward-thinking educational institution in Birmingham . This role is central to integrating and managing educational technologies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. You will work closely with faculty, IT support, and curriculum developers to ensure seamless adoption of digital tools and platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and support a range of educational technologies , including Learning Management Systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and virtual learning environments.
• Provide technical assistance and training to faculty and staff on the effective use of educational software and hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to educational technology platforms promptly.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers to integrate technology effectively into course content and learning activities.
• Stay abreast of new developments in educational technology and recommend adoption of innovative tools.
• Develop and maintain documentation, guides, and resources for users of educational technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supporting and managing educational technology in an academic setting.
• Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and other educational software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-service orientation.
• Ability to train and support non-technical users effectively.
• Familiarity with multimedia creation tools and digital content development is a plus.
