About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and reliable Elderly Care Assistant to provide essential support to older adults in the Bristol area. Key Responsibilities

• Assist elderly service users with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, always maintaining dignity.
• Support with mobility needs, ensuring safe transfers and movement around the home.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding, catering to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Administer medication as prescribed, adhering strictly to protocols and documentation requirements.
• Provide companionship and engage service users in conversation and social activities.
• Monitor the well-being of service users and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role supporting the elderly is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a kind and patient nature.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Willingness to undertake regular training and development opportunities.
